I had an issue at my relatively new job when I mentioned that they had shorted me on my pay two weeks in a row. The ultimate solution was the owner yelling at me in front of staff and belittling my asthma and blaming my current viral bronchitis on smoking too much, smoking is allowed inside while you are working and as a new person I usually only have about 3 a day that aren't on my lunch, there are no breaks so there are no additional breaks for heat. The day before I caught the infection, I was warned I was slowing down and concerned it would be seen the wrong way, I went to work with a fever and on no sleep. Also in his rant he went on about how I sat for a week doing nothing and he paid me for that...that was because I seriously cut my leg with a tool that had the guard removed and was given 5 stitches and a FAF saying 6 days. My leg will probably never be the same again. As a person that suffers with a mental disorder (I am being medicated for), this is very troubling for me. They assured me I was given this position so I turned down a full time job that now isn't available. The way the boss left it with me, where he wasn't expecting anything from me so I should just go out there and do whatever, isn't sitting well with me. I am consumed by it in fact and know there is no way I can perform the way I want to with this on my shoulders. I can't afford to not work so I am afraid to just quit. They came out with cash and a little slip of paper that had the math on it for the 45 minutes from this week but didn't pay last week, which I also thought was odd. Is there anything I can do?
