The staff was informed of the sale on the date of transfer of ownership and was not given any prior notice. The new employers has indicated that the staff is currently working under their existing terms of employment, but that there will be changes made to compensation arrangements and schedules. They are refusing to give details and are intentionally withholding the information while we continue to work. What rights do the staff have regarding the fact that are all now working for this new employer with the vague indication that changes are coming?I am on a 60 day non working notice period (effective August 5, was relieved of my working duties on this date) were I was told in my notice letter that I will receive 10 weeks severance if I don't find a job by then. The notice letter wasn't clear though on what my next steps are if I find a job during that period. If I end up finding a job before the notice period is up, would I still qualify for severance ? They stated that I would be entitled to 10 weeks if I don't find a job by then. What are my obligations to my current employer of I find a job before the notice period expires. Would I have to inform them (ie "resign" from my position" ) ? On the other end, if I don't find employment during the notice period, and they offer the 10 weeks, but I don't sign the severance package and I consult Legal counsel who then deems I should be entitled to more. During the negotiations of my severance package, would I still be considered an employee of the company (where I will be paid at 100% with full benefits ) while my severance is being negotiated ?I work for Canada Packers inc. They have head office in Ontario. Operations in manitoba, Saskatchewan & Alberta. Would they fall under Canada Labour Code?I have been working with a publicly traded corporate company for over 2 years in sales role. However, my sales numbers are low and not meeting sales targets. I have been on a PIP for a few months now and I received a letter warning about my performance and if my sales numbers do not improve I can be at risk of termination. There is a section in the letter to sign that I received and understand the terms. If I sign can they fire me with cause and give me no severance?Hello! Recently my parent company acquired a charitable entity and there's been talk around me selling products through the charity's website even though I don't work for the charity. I'm wondering the legality of this and what/how I should be engaging with my management around this. I don't work for the charity and as I understand it charities don't pay commission (I earn commission on my sales). Previous Next Page 6 of 1630
