Hello! Recently my parent company acquired a charitable entity and there's been talk around me selling products through the charity's website even though I don't work for the charity. I'm wondering the legality of this and what/how I should be engaging with my management around this. I don't work for the charity and as I understand it charities don't pay commission (I earn commission on my sales).

If the work/sales that your employer is not asking you to do has a material impact on your earnings, then this may be the basis for a constructive dismissal claim. Further, if the work/sales you are being asked to do for the new entity is outside of your normal job duties or adds a significant amount of additional work, this may also be the basis for a constructive dismissal.
