I have a proven productive track record with the company for over 15 years with positive annual performance appraisals. I advised management that a new position was required in the company to oversee junior staff. when the position was created, I applied. In the interview, the hiring manager advised of the names of the two other colleagues that applied and asked "what would you do if you do not get the job?" I was also asked how I would improve the team (scenario questions). I discussed how I would go about bringing up the the other two staff (that applied) and I had mentored when they were hired. 4 weeks passed and I followed up, and then I received a meeting with the hiring manager and HR to advise that I was disqualified based on code of conduct issues for asking another employee to call and make a recommendation for the job and for putting down the other two candidates in the interview. I then received a "final warning letter" and was advised if I spoke to another employee or did not follow the letter, I would be dismissed.I have worked for a company since Jan of 2024. I am on diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and asthma meds. I have been informed I can not stop these meds or there is a chance of a heart attack. I just wanted to know if my employer has the right to remove my medical benefits while I am on LTD and if I can fight this? They say I am still an employee. So how can they stop my benefits? Just doesn't seem right. Please let me know. Thank you.We have been given and voluntary leave incentive package at work which im considering.
