Company has always paid for lease, gas, insurance and maintenance, now they what to change to $500 mth gross + 68 cents KMI recently joined a company, its been less than a month. I actually don’t like the working environment there. They recently sold the products which was brought from other store of same company which was closed due to rat infestation. I even complained this to Toronto public health but they were told that it was brought from the vendor and not from those store but I don’t have any proof of any of these. So i was thinking if i can just quit my job and apply for ei until i find new job. I am not sure if this reason will justify my cause to leave the job. Before this i was working for other company which was currently been shut down and i got my ei pay for 2weeks. Hoping to get the answerI was sent home pending an investigation with a strong beleif of termination. Since then I have had increased anxiety and depression seeking medical i have a past history of this. Can they legally terminate if I'm on medical leave.I am under investigation for possibly not following security policy. While being sent home on a leave, I now have a medical condition, anxiety depression that has come up. And will have a note to be off work as i have been to the Dr's. I have had this medical in the past. This is not new. Are they legally able to finish their investigation and terminate my employment while I am disabled from working? My employer has announced restructuring a few months back. We are now told to reapply for a position in the new organization although the roles posted do not line up, meaning, we would be accepting a demotion in title and potentially pay. Is this enough evidence to call it a constructive dismissal? And a second question, would applying for a role negatively impact potential severance negotiations if it comes to that?
