Im still working for the time being but it looks like the writings on the wall.
Ive been Health and Safety rep for the past 20+ years in the company on and off.
New management comes in and wants things done differently that is illegal and put fellow Co-workers workers in harms way. I refused the new changes and said to the new management that the changes are against the health and Safety code for Ontario. A few days later I relinquished my position as Health and Safety co-chair officer and now I have a target on my back. I was brought into a meeting and repremanded for saying illegal actions were being done.
New management has been telling people that Oct 1st people are getting fired and everyone's on eggshells.
Is this a chargeable offense against the company?
