I was verbally notify by my employer that I was laid of permanently...I received termination pay but was deducted for equipment that is PPE a fresh air breathing system for automotive painting that was supplied by employer but was credited by two paint companies for myself....Can this be deducted from my termination pay..
No. For a valid deduction, you have to agree to the specific amount and sign a document stating that you agree that specific amount can be deducted. An employer cannot simply decide to deduct a random amount.
