If I’ve been travelling business class as part of my managing director job for the last 10 years (as per travel policy) and we are no longer allowed (globally) to travel business class but only economy comfort for cost savings (when we are ahead of budget YTD and below operational expenses) is this considered as change of benefit enough to legally have this overturned? Or could it be considered constructive dismissal?
Generally speaking, this change to the Company's travel policy may be something that it is legally permitted to do; however, whether they can do so with respect to your employment requires a further look at the terms and conditions of your employment, including your employment contract. We encourage you to contact us to set up a consultation with one of our employment lawyers, who can review your circumstances and ensure that your employment rights are being respected.
