I am trying to return to work after 2 years on LTD. I contacted my job about returning to work and had insurance and my doctor inform them that I am ready to return and my restrictions. That was early June. It is now July and I have contacted them twice since then and been given no update on when I can return to work. Should I assume that I will not be returning and look for another job.

If your employer does not respond to you after you have been cleared to return to work from disability leave, it may result in a termination. However, these situations can be very fact-dependent. I would recommend contacting an employment lawyer before making any decisions. Further, if your employer fails to respond to you when you are returning from disability leave, this may be the basis for a discrimination claim against your employer.
