I retired after 20 years with a major bank. I was base salary plus commission and was told that I do not get vacation pay because of the structure of my income. I had expected at least 3 weeks vacation pay. Do I have any options?

This comes back to how your vacation was paid throughout your employment. If your vacation pay was added to your pay at the end of the year, or to each pay statement, then you may not have any accrued vacation left.

To seek unpaid vacation under the Canada Labour Code, you can file a wage recovery complaint with the Labour Program of Employment and Social Development Canada. It is recommended that you do so as soon as possible as a strict time limit applies.
