I’m a long term senior management, non-union, full-time. On a mental health medical leave. Declined by short term disability, stating that it’s a WCB issue. Can I present a termination proposal in place of the WCB claim and what does that look like?

The termination is a unilateral decision made by the employer and is not something you are able to initiate on your own. You may, however, have recourse against the short-term disability provider and, potentially, a claim for long-term disability benefits. A Workers' Compensation claim may also need to be pursued.
