Add Comment Question: Can I be released for indirectly being apart of a situation where my employer was scammed out of money. I was not apart or even around for the actual incident. Someone had called the store claiming a delivery was being brought to the store, but didn't not ask for any vital information. They simply gave a reference number and a delivery number and that was it. I left work for the day never seeing or hearing for anyone else. Later in the evening someone had shown up with this said delivery and asked for money from the store to pay for it. We are always told anything being sent to the store will always be paid for no matter what and our protocol states anything else is to not be accepted. The gentleman I worked with proceeded to pay for the order and the scam had happened. After an "investigation" by my employers, they had decided to fire both me and the other associate.
