Add Comment Question: Hello, I would like to know if the following can be posted on a website without being sued by an ex employer. Basically i am trying to publicly embarrass my old employer for non payment for services rendered. Hello Dave, It is your brother in law Kevin here you know the guy you have not paid for work done in 2022. As we both know Nathan from the MOL has tried on several occasion to fix the problem , but you are not willing to do the correct thing. FYI Dave i should not be surprised cause we both know you owe a number of people money in Brantford. You can claim this statement is not true , but i have contacted many and they might use this form . Yes there is nothing like hand digging a hole for an in ground pool in August of 2022 and never getting paid for it. Not only hand digging the hole me and another employee had to throw wet dirt up about 7 ft onto the embankment . Now you claim that a cheque was issued well it does not take years to get it and there was no mail strike. Let’s be honest if you wanted us to have the money you live not 5 minutes from our home. When the MOL took $1206.00 from your account you told Nathan you will leave a low balance in the account so i would never get my money. FYI you still owe about $12k if you actually care. Reading some of the reviews on your failed business Dutch Landscaping my favourite is the one 25 k deposit given year later no pool. Many reviews about no return calls or emails or work not complete. When it comes to your reviews i cannot help , but wonder the bad ones have names associated with them and the good ones do not. Why?. Maybe the good ones are fake maybe who knows. At least when you worked here you did good work except the garden lights needed to be replaces under warranty , but you failed to do that. Not surprised. We took care of the garden lights our time and expense. Do you remember when you did our walkway you got paid before your tools went into the back of your truck. So this is how you treat family . Wow congrats . Answer: If you post a comment about your employer that paints them in a negative light and they believe it is false, they could sue you for libel. If they succeed, you would be responsible for damages and costs. However, if the statements are true and you can prove them, you could rely upon the defence of justification. We cannot comment on whether you are liable or not without knowing the specific facts of your case, which we can only review in a consultation.
