Add Comment Question: I was on a fixed term 2-year contract with an employer in Ontario. I received good employment perfomance reviews. Unfortunately, 3 months before the end of the contract I broke my arm, and was off work for medical reasons for those 3 months. My contract was not renewed, and I think it was because I broke my arm, and was on temporary disability leave, because no other reasons were given. Do I have legal recourse? Answer: It is possible you may have grounds for a human rights claim if your disability was considered in the decision not to renew your contract.
