Add Comment Question: Working for Shaw for 23 years transitioned to Rogers during the acquisition not by choice and working for rogers about a year. Basic minimum at home virtual training. Issues learning the new programs systems etc. Asked for help extra training. Nothing. No performance review for a year. After 11 months i finally got the extra training. 1 week. Again basic didn't help much and right after that, the next month was Put on 90 day pip for underperforming. Vastly improved by the 90th day 2 of 3 targets exceeded. They wanted to extend it another 30 days to see if i can maintain it.I ended up working extra hours for free just to hit targets that's why I met the 2/3 target. I offered to fly to Calgary out of my own pocket to train in office. Among the consistent family stress this work related issue was the one thing that pushed me over the top. I then took stress leave and currently still on it. What are my rights coming back to work? A co worker has gone through the same thing and was fired for just cause (underperforming) and was let go with no severance. I have documented everything from asking for help, my schedules, etc to prepare for the worst. What are my options ? Answer: If you are on a protected leave, your employer is required to return you to your pre-leave position or a comparable position.
