I was told not to say anything internally and then 3 business days later was terminated immediately without notice or reason 9 days before my original resignation date. Employees are under the impression I was let go due to nothing being communicated to them by myself and was only told I am no longer at the company by my boss. Given the reputation damage and being ignored by my boss, HR, and the CMO after asking for clarity on their reasoning, am I entitled to any compensation? Will I be paid out until the original termination date? ThanksI work at an occupational therapist at an Ontario hospital "A" which has recently merged with another hospital "B". I am a non-union employee. The two pay scales of the former A and B have now been made into a new scale which has 7 steps. Top earning employees in my position from hospital A have been placed at step 5 on the new scale. The top earners in my position from hospital B have been placed on step 6. All of us now work for the same corporation, same job but this pay discrepancy exists. I am wondering if this is unlawful.I am currently on short-term disability leave. I submitted a workplace harassment and violence complaint to the company's HR and would like to clarify something with the respondent before the negotiated resolution meeting. May I email my question directly to the respondent, or do I need to send it to HR and ask HR to forward it? I would prefer to send it directly, but I’m not sure if that’s permitted under the applicable laws or policies. Thank you!I work for the federal government for just over a year then went off on maternity and parental leave. I did not return and took a 2 year leave without paying due to not securing a daycare spot near me. That being said now that my child is starting school this year, if I am unable to return and they refuse to allow me to take another leave without pay will I need to pay back my parental leave as well as all my top up? My husband works in film so therefore I will be responsible for pickup and drop off at all times and it may not be feasible to go back to work.I have a contract that states I am a home based employee . My employer is now stating I must go into the office 3 days per week. I have concerns with this as I have never worked in an office environment throughout my career. Do I need to have this in writing enforcing a change to my job to be in the office? Is this constructive dismissal if I consider this a hardship for me ? Previous Next Page 99 of 1631
