I had an emergency medical episode at work.Employer wants verification from me in writing that it was not work related Family Doctor states he has never heard of such a thing Am I required to submit the above ?I live in b.c and work from home. I am scheduled for 9 hour days. In the 9 hours I get a 30 minute unpaid lunch break plus 2 fifteen minutes coffee breaks that are paid for even though I don't work during coffee breaks. How much overtime should I be getting per day? (Non-union and no averaging agreement) my employer asked me where on the employment standards branch of b.c does it state that paid coffee breaks are included in the calculation towards overtime? Recently, my job has hired two new members, as well as a new supervisor who was given control of the schedule. Without warning, my shifts had been cut by two days a week, while the new hires have 4-5 shifts per week. I tried to talk to the supervisor stating i cannot pay my bills with less than a certain amount of hours per week, but again, today my hours were cut again while the new hires have retained full shifts. I am not the only one however, I've been with the company ten years and another senior member has been there for 25, he has also had his hours cut. He also tried to talk about it and was all but dismissed. We work in food service and as such hour cuts come and go, but not typically to this severity and not when hiring new employees. It feels as if we are going to be fired soon and i am wondering what/if there's anything i can do on my end to at least ensure i receive severance, or my hours are restored. What can I do about my boss telling me that we can not discuss wages between employees and then threatening use that there will be repercussions if we do when there is nothing in my contract or in are polices that says that and I have talked to hr about the matter and they sead there is nothing that says thatCurrently I am working fulltime (37.5 hours per week). I have been employed at the here since September 26, 2021. Yesterday I had a meeting with my Manager where I was given two options to continue my employment with the organization. Option 1: Accept a different role as with current responsibilities included and Option 2: Continue in my same role but move to an hourly employee. Currently I work from home and the two Options would require me to work out of the facility location. Option 1 also includes a revision of responsibilities; and a different pay structure was mentioned. My question is if I say no to accepting either change should I resign now or if they come back with something else can I still consider it and continue working or would that jeopardize any possible constructive dismissal payout. The organization is asking for my answer by the end of the week which I did say was probably doable during the meeting – I said I would need to talk it over with my wife. Previous Next Page 96 of 1631
