I was terminated without cause in 2015 from a federally regulated big 6 bank. I took a 6 month contract in a different department, same employer, but got a job offer for a different employer. Because I couldn’t finish out the contract, my severance was considered forfeited. With the big banks in the news regarding return to office, can they increase our in-office requirements to a greater number of days than was required pre-COVID? Pre-COVID, the requirement was 3 days in-office. Recent announcement has it being increased to 4 days. Would this be grounds for constructive dismissal, particularly because the requirement is now greater than even before COVID? I have been a remote worker for 8+ years. My c company is now changing my work model to hybrid (2 days in office/week). In my employment agreement it states they can do t this at their sole discretion. Would this still be considered a constructive dismissal?A question about bonus. I drive a truck and they pay us a safety bonus for all the miles we drive but i had my bonus suspended because of some speeding violations no by the police but on our eld and it was in what are transition zones in BC they go from 90 to 70 in about 10secs and if your watching traffic it can catch you by surprise. They took it away for a month its not the loss of the money just wondering if its legal.I had an issue at my relatively new job when I mentioned that they had shorted me on my pay two weeks in a row. The ultimate solution was the owner yelling at me in front of staff and belittling my asthma and blaming my current viral bronchitis on smoking too much, smoking is allowed inside while you are working and as a new person I usually only have about 3 a day that aren't on my lunch, there are no breaks so there are no additional breaks for heat. The day before I caught the infection, I was warned I was slowing down and concerned it would be seen the wrong way, I went to work with a fever and on no sleep. Also in his rant he went on about how I sat for a week doing nothing and he paid me for that...that was because I seriously cut my leg with a tool that had the guard removed and was given 5 stitches and a FAF saying 6 days. My leg will probably never be the same again. As a person that suffers with a mental disorder (I am being medicated for), this is very troubling for me. They assured me I was given this position so I turned down a full time job that now isn't available. The way the boss left it with me, where he wasn't expecting anything from me so I should just go out there and do whatever, isn't sitting well with me. I am consumed by it in fact and know there is no way I can perform the way I want to with this on my shoulders. I can't afford to not work so I am afraid to just quit. They came out with cash and a little slip of paper that had the math on it for the 45 minutes from this week but didn't pay last week, which I also thought was odd. Is there anything I can do?I reported my employer to both the ministry of labour and CRA for misclassification well before I was let go. CRA still hasn't sent a ruling letter and I am in desperate need of EI. What can I do to get EI as soon as possible? Previous Next Page 90 of 1630
