Or could it be considered constructive dismissal?Good day, I am a Canadian Citizen, BC resident who works for a US company remotely. I have worked there for more than 10 years, am non-union and am being offered a voluntary Severance of 6 months salary + health and dental (every employee of 10+ years tenure is being offered the same package). It is my understanding that BC common law applies to this scenario and that if I were Involuntarily laid off, my severance could be as high as 12 months or more (but likely not the health and dental). I am trying to understand whether a bird in the hand is really worth 2 in the bush. I acknowledge that this offer is quite generous for the US employees, but as one of less than 20 Canadians in a company of over 2000, I am not sure this is the correct move. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Previous Next Page 88 of 1630
