I was recently diagnosed with PTSD, GAD and depression all due to a toxic work environment, sexual harassment in the workplace place as well as sexual assault at work. Doctor is advising me not to return and I don’t imagine I’ll have any issue given the diagnosis to transition to long term disability when the time comes. I guess my question is, am I able to take legal action while being on disability or would I have to wait until they potentially cut off disability benefits to take legal action? My therapist also mentioned that doing trauma therapy could potentially hinder a settlement from the company? Not really sure what to do next and what my options are .I was employed by a sports management company on a part time basis with a contract from March 2025-August 31st 2025. I received emails in august asking if we were returning for the fall and what types of shifts we wanted, I had also corresponded with my supervisor about new programs coming up that i could partake in. After one shift on the what I assumed was a Tacit renewal of my contract, I was informed that i was being not renewed as of September 1st and the shifts i was scheduled for after that date were a mistake. They said it was due to unacceptable behavior so i asked for clarification on what i had done and they said that "it was said that you called others stupid for doing things a certain way, i hadnt done what the coordinator had asked one time, it had been heard that I had said i dont "need" the job because I have a full time job, and finally because at some instances they felt my face didnt look like i wanted to be there". Is this allowed? a retroactive non-renewal feels sketchy and on top of that, their reasons have a discriminatory lean to it. Just want to know if they did anything legally wrong that i could write them a letter about. My employment agreement says i'm only entitled to 8 weeks of severance and the company is about to be purchased by another large firm and, since i now work remotely (have for 10 years), i will not have a position as they do not allow remote work. I've been with the firm since 2003 in various Management roles (currently Operations Manager). I went Part time in January 2025 after taking 2 months off to work through some health issues. My salary was pro-rated to 48% when i returned at part-time. I have always been a loyal, dedicated and highly valued employee. Should i seek a lawyer to determine if more severance is appropriate?Employer is changing the sales commission structure from: 80% of target= 1% comm, 90% of target= 2% comm, 100% of target= 4% comm. To only 100% of target= 4% comm. Removing the other 2 tiers. Is this legal?we are being forced to relocate due to landlord. our new location will be 30 mins further from our current location. I've been with the company a long time and have been treated well. I'd like to know some topics that I could discuss with my boss to make this relocation more bearable. ie: I would ask if I could work from home a few days a month, or if I could work different hours, or bring my dog to work, or .... What have others asked of their employers that I could try? Previous Next Page 71 of 1630
