I have been employed 12 years on a base salary with commission and I recently received a letter that I will be removed from commission and placed on profit sharing. This reduction will amount to a 30% loss in annual earnings. There has been no profit sharing in the past five years with the office staff that are on this plan, so I am looking at a base salary only moving forward. They have given notice of this change taking effect Jan 1, 2027. 1. Is this a constructive dismissal? 2. I have sent a letter that I am not in acceptance of this, but when does the law believe I am compliant in this change if I remain there? Not until after the change? 3. If I find other work by the end of the year before this change, can I still seek a constructive dismissal. My move means I lost senority and possible lower salary and my age is a factor right now (65) 4. If I contact them asking to extend this change longer than Jan 1, does that mean I'm accepting this change and negotiating now? 5. Taking 30% of a person's wage is clearly trying to force me out, but can they also demand I drive to the office 1.5 to 2 hours one way, when it was always remote home office for the past 12 years? My employer changed my job drastically. I am a manager and now am asked to work at two ofher sites and report to their ass managers and now report to a peer with less experience. Also took away my comp behicle I have had one for 20+ yrs. Can they just do this ? Shouldnt they offer me a new contract or severance? Worked here for 32 yrs. ThanksI been on WSIB from Jan 2025 and now on gradual return to work with permanent modified duties, I've been employed with the same company since 1986, my shift before the injury was 6am til 2pm my question is does the company have to give me that shift back or can they put me on a 11am til 7pm shift.I worked for a Company for 15 years and when I quit last April, I was not aware that my contract that were signed when hired indicate that I was to be paid 6% extra for my commissions when earning 3 weeks vacation. In year 2, it was changed to 4 weeks of vacation. Labour board made the Company pay all earnings for the last 21 months. They advised me to get legal help for the remaining $40,000 that is still owed to me. Is this not true??If I got fired without cause from full time employment after complaining to the board about my boss’s job is there anything I can do about this Previous Next Page 36 of 1630
