I was given a working termination notice April 10 with my last day June 30. No severance package was presented. Can the company legally wait until that last day to present the severance package or should it be before?

Hello, and thank you for your question.

As you are aware, June 30 is fast approaching. If you do not receive one soon, it is safe to assume you may not be presented with a severance package for any additional amounts.

I suggest you visit www.severancepaycalculator.com to determine your full entitlements, and email me at andrew.goldberg@stlawyers.ca to arrange for a consultation. I would be happy to assist in any way I can.

Thank you
