I work in a restaurant that has closed due to COVID19. All employees were issued a Record of Employment for layoff. The restaurant is now opening for take out only. Do I have to go back to work during COVID or can I continue to draw my unemployment? Can I be let go if I don't comply?

Thanks for your question. If you are being recalled to work and provided with employment and compensation that is comparable to your position prior to the lay-off and it is safe for you to work, you would have to return to work. In these circumstances, if you refused to return to work, it would be considered a resignation.
