Hi. I have recently been suspended from work. The meeting to suspend me happen on a Tuesday morning (10am) and I left shortly after that. I went back to work Friday morning and was told I could not return to work until Monday morning. I know I signed the paperwork for the suspension but though the return to work day was the 12th. My work has laid people off during covid and I feel like they are taking advantage of me for an extra day without me on their payroll. Does this sound proper to you?

Thanks.

Thank you for your question. You can treat your suspension as a constructive dismissal as an employer can not suspend you without pay. Please contact us directly at 416-861-9065 for a consultation.
