Hi. May son is 30 and has recently been diagnosed with autism & had been on mental health leave for two months. He went back to work last Thursday and panicked…sending an email resignation. He immediately regretted it and on Monday sent an email asking to rescind it since he was not mentally in a place to make the decision.. he panicked. They will not give him his job back…does he have a leg to stand on?

If your son's employer has already accepted his resignation, the chances of him being able to successfully rescind it will have diminished. However, he may still be able to take it back if his employer has not yet relied on his resignation to their detriment. Please have your son contact our office for a consultation.
