I am a seasonal employee working for the past 25 years. We get laid off usually mid November and recalled in February of each year. Am I entitle to severance pay. The company I work for does not have a payroll of 2.5 million

Thank you for your question.

Season employees can be entitled to severance, and whether or not the payroll of the company is over $2.5 million does not matter for one's full severance entitlements (that is only for the minimum statutory severance). If you have not been recalled to work, you could be entitled to severance, and after 25 years those entitlements could be very significant.

I would strongly recommend that you contact us at the number below for a consultation.

Kindly note that your entitlements expire two years from the date your cause of action was discovered. Therefore it is strongly recommended you act as soon as possible if you wish to pursue your severance entitlements.
