I received an email with a letter to sign for my acknowledgment of the company will change my title from operations manager to service manager. I have been an operation mgr for 20 + years. Getting closer to retirement in the next couple of years. They have given this position to another person. They said in the letter it is strictly administrative purposes and nothing changes including my job description. Please advise if I should or should not sign the letter.

Thank you for your question.

That is potentially a constructive dismissal on the grounds of a demotion. But before you take any action, it is imperative that you speak with an employment lawyer to discuss your options and whether the claim is viable. As such, please contact us at the number below to schedule a consultation. Do not wait too long or you may be deemed to have accepted the changes. Also, kindly note that the limitation period is two years from the date your cause of action arose, after which time, you can no longer bring forth a claim.
