I was part of the mass layoffs at Shopify on May 4, 2023.


I worked for Shopify for 5 years in BC, Canada.

I lost your job as part of the mass layoff on May 4, 2023 that affected 23% of the company’s staff.

I signed back, an initial severance package from Shopify.

I was not paid the amount I originally accepted.

I understand there is a class action lawsuit that has been pending for over half a year with no updates. I was wondering what the timeline for this is, or if I should seek independent council.
