After massive layoffs and resignations, tasks from higher-paid roles are becoming assigned to me, with no change in my title or pay. I've expressed to the assigning manager & HR that I can't keep up as my current tasks are falling behind. I was told that I have no choice to decline. I expressed that I can't accept an assignment that I know I can't perform well on that will have blame put on me for, and he said it will fall on me anyway. I'm curious if this constitutes as constructive dismissal. This discussion came after months of dealing with being outcasted/excluded in the office and dealing with micro-aggressions most days of the week. I've lost my appetite at work entirely and am having trouble sleeping at night because I'm constantly worrying about the toxic environment I have to clock in to the next day to survive. HR has also contributed to the problems, both with micro-aggressions and inappropriate task delegation; thus I am uncomfortable seeking support from them.
If there has been a substantial change in your duties, you may have grounds for a constructive dismissal claim. Please contact us at the number below so we can better assess your case.
