My husband started a really good job with a company and after about eight months they realized he never signed a employment contract. Because the job was really good and didn't want to ruffle any feathers he just signed it right away. Afterwards we realized the contract limits his various rights regarding severance and such. 1: is the contract binding? 2: Even though it says I have obtained legal advise or not, is the contract still binding??

My name is David Vaughan and I am an employment lawyer with Samfiru Tumarkin. Assuming your husband was not provided with anything of value for signing this new employment agreement (such as a signing bonus, salary increase, etc.), then it would likely not be enforceable and could not be relied on to limit his termination entitlements.
