Can an employer take up to almost eight weeks to pay an employee their final pay (vacation pay) after the leave?
Unionized work place - does that make a difference?

Thank you for your question.

Vacation pay in British Columbia has to be paid when employment ends, but not necessarily after a leave of absence ends. If you have resigned, it must be paid within six days after you leave. I would recommend speaking with your union representative.
