If a non compete agreement was signed under a company's name and then that company changed names and ownership 3 times and no further non competes were signed under the new name is the initial non compete still valid?

To fully answer this question one of our employment lawyers will need to further assess the nature of the ownership changes and also review the applicable employment agreements. However, generally speaking, non-compete provisions are rarely enforceable (they have to be very strictly worded so they are as least restrictive to the employee as possible), and we can further assess this for you.
