When I began working at this company my benefits were 100% employer paid. My employer is now requiring employees to pay for a portion of the benefits, or switch to a less comprehensive package. Are they allowed to decrease my compensation with no change to my duties/responsibilities?

Thank you for your question. In some situations, a unilateral change to the terms of your employment may constitute a constructive dismissal. With regard to a change in your benefit package, it would depend on the value of your co-pay portion and other terms of your employment. We will need additional information from you to properly assess your situation. Please contact us at the number below to schedule a formal consultation.
