Am I still entitled to company benefits while laid off
If you were placed on a temporary lay-off, the company does not have to continue your benefit coverage. However, this may constitute a constructive dismissal and entitle you to severance pay. On the other hand, if the employer permanently laid you off (i.e. terminated your employment), then you should receive severance pay and benefits continuation for an amount of time after termination.
